Project Title

Watershed Feasibility Study and Landscape Management Plan Development

Project Location

Dhanusha

Project Client

AASMAN NEPAL (ASN), CS4FS

Completion Date

March 2026
1. Conducted a feasibility assessment of the selected micro-watershed(s) to understand the biophysical, hydrological, and socio-economic conditions, including water flow dynamics, erosion-prone areas, natural and human risk, existing land use, irrigation needs, and climate-related vulnerabilities.
2. Developed an actionable Landscape Management Plan with detailed technical designs, cost estimates, GIS maps, and implementation strategies for nature-based interventions such as:
Soil and gully stabilization
Stream bank protection
Afforestation/reforestation
Community-managed irrigation systems
Water retention and harvesting structures
3. Promote integrated and inclusive planning, ensuring the involvement of local stakeholders especially smallholder farmers, women, and vulnerable groups in identifying problems and validating solutions.
4. Align proposed interventions with regenerative agriculture principles and the environmental and social safeguards of the WHH and Aasaman Nepal.
